Botanical Illustration Class

This workshop will cover the bases of what botanical illustration is and why it's such an awesome art form. We'll cover some observational drawing and watercolour techniques, as well as some tips on how to capture your botanical on paper. We'll discuss compositions, line, shading, layering to create depth and maintaining scientific accuracy.

This will be a fun and creative workshop working with watercolours. You'll walk away with your own illustration and some tips to go forth and paint all of the flowers, all of the time.

Please note: This class requires at least eight students to run. In the unlikely event that the class does not get this number of students, the class will be cancelled and you will be fully refunded, this will be communicated via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class.
