Built in 1888, the Grand Hotel watches proudly over the main street of Portarlington and down to the popular and scenic harbour area.
A recent changing of the guard at the historic Grand Hotel is generating buzz and excitement as a close to 10-million-dollar renovation began mid-March 2021, with the venue scheduled to reopen early Summer 2021.
Once the doors open again visitors will be able to enjoy a complete experience with a stayover in the stunning new accommodation. There will be 18 rooms available, some including full accessibility for wheelchairs and some with bay views.
The menu will still be based on good pub classics but with a modern flair and strong representation of seafood and local fare.
The new beer garden will be an experience in itself, serving all of the beautiful wine, beers and spirits from around the Bellarine Peninsula, alongside their wood-fired pizzas.
The team look forward to getting back to business and offering a venue that will cater for the strong growth of locals and visitors to the region.
You will be able to visit by car or enjoy a comfortable journey across the bay with Port Phillip Ferries.
The Grand Hotel team would love you to “stay in touch” by simply heading to their website to sign up for renovation updates and special offers upon reopening.
