Steamrail Victoria - Bayside Steam Shuttles

Join as Steamrail Victoria operate 2 K Class steam engines with Heritage "E type" carriages on their first suburban shuttles for 2021. Departing Moorabbin on a scenic journey along the bay to Carrum/Kananook.

These Shuttles will travel on a scenic 90 minute return journey from Moorabbin Station to Kananook Sidings, featuring locomotives K153 and K190. The journey will go via the bayside suburbs of Mordialloc, Chelsea and Carrum, over the recently constructed "Skyrail" viaducts, allowing fantastic views of the bay out of the vintage carriages' opening windows.

Come along for a ride on The Vintage Train for a fun family day out through Melbourne's scenic bayside suburbs.

Three return shuttles will depart Moorabbin at 10.35 am, 12.12 pm and 3.52 pm. These will operate to Kananook Stabling Sidings and return, passengers will not be able to join/leave the train at Kananook Sidings.

One way transfer trips will depart at the following times -
Newport (9.21am) or Flinders Steet (9.45am) to Moorabbin arriving at 10.15am.
Moorabbin 1.42pm to Carrum arriving at 2.07pm.
Carrum 3.13pm to Moorabbin arriving at 3.37pm.
Moorabbin 5.18pm to Flinders Street arriving at 5.51pm or Newport arriving at 6.13pm.
