From 1 November 2019 - 31 January 2020, Gallery Elysium in Hawthorn, Melbourne, will be celebrating its official opening, with an exciting exhibition of paintings by Emily Kame Kngwarreye and other celebrated indigenous artists, including Clifford Possum Tjapaltjari, Minnie Pwerle, Barbara Weir, and Kuddtji Kngwarreye.
The exhibition, titled Emily & Friends, features works that have been handpicked by Hank Ebes, a world authority on Australian contemporary indigenous art and curator/owner of the Emily Museum.
All the works in this exhibition have been chosen by Hank Ebes from his extensive and diverse collection of top tier contemporary Australian art and will include some works that have never previously been exhibited in public.
The exhibition celebrates the diversity and brilliance of Australian contemporary indigenous art and offers a wonderful opportunity for art lovers and investors to view a significant collection of important paintings in one of Melbourne’s most exciting new art galleries.
This unique exhibition promises to be a real feast for the eyes and hearts.
